Cllr. Lorna Russell
Lorna Russell has been active in the Labour Party for over five years. She has vast campaigning experience, having campaigned for the party in general, mayoral and local elections, as well as being a part of Ed Miliband’s leadership campaign team. Lorna is a member of the Co-operative Party and is also an active Young Fabian. By profession she is a political consultant.
Cllr. Richard Olszewski
Richard has lived in Camden for more than 20 years and has been a Fortune Green resident since 1996, where he raised his family. His daughter was educated locally at Beckford primary and Hampstead School.
He was born in London and returned there in the 1980s, to work as an industrial officer for the National Union of Railwaymen. Richard also spent six years working as a political adviser to the Cabinet minister, John Reid. He now runs his own communications consultancy, and has worked on various campaigns including, for the unification of Cyprus and for American trade unions battling against anti- union British companies. Richard previously served on Camden council for Regent’s Park ward from 1994 to 2002, where he was vice-chair of policy and resources and chair of quality and efficiency.
He is a member of WHAT (West Hampstead Amenities and Transport), the West Hampstead Community Association and the Camden branch of the Co-Op Party. In his spare time, he reads novels, history, politics and American current affairs. He likes walking, usually on Hampstead Heath and is an ever-hopeful Glasgow Celtic fan.
